02 / Teaching
Individual guidance in technique, sound production, physical coordination, repertoire and performance preparation—for students seeking a more focused and independent approach to playing.
Chengdu · Online · Individual sessions01 / Areas of study
Sound production, bow control, intonation, shifting and a more efficient physical approach to playing.
Phrasing, structure, style, and greater consistency in rehearsals, recordings and performance situations.
Repertoire planning and preparation for examinations, competitions, orchestral auditions and conservatoire applications.
02 / What we can work on
Lessons respond to the student’s current playing rather than following a fixed syllabus. Depending on level and goals, areas of work may include:
A sound that feels tight, thin or inconsistent, with unstable bow contact or distribution.
Recurring intonation problems, uncertain shifting, or coordination between the two hands.
Unnecessary tension in the shoulders, arms or left hand that restricts movement.
A great deal of practice without a clear understanding of the cause of a problem or what to prioritise.
The notes are present, but phrasing, structure, style or musical direction remains unclear.
Difficulty maintaining consistency in rehearsals, recordings or performance situations.
03 / Approach
The aim is not only to identify what is not working, but to help students understand why it happens and develop practical tools for independent practice and continued adjustment.
