Ziheng (Jesse) Yu is a cellist, composer and music educator trained at the Royal College of Music and Conservatorium Maastricht.

His work moves between orchestral leadership, individual cello teaching, screen music and research into cross-cultural listening.

His principal cello teachers include Yimin Zhang, Alexander Chaushian and Gustav Rivinius. His additional studies include Baroque cello with Catherine Rimer and jazz cello with Mark Armstrong.
